Mark is an experienced operational leader, with proven competencies in leadership and management of military, civilian and industry personnel. Air Vice Marshall Green previously served as Air Officer Commanding 22 Group, responsible for all aspects of military flying and accountable for the aviation safety of personnel working on 15 aircraft types, including fixed and rotary wings. During an earlier appointment as Station Commander at RAF Valley, Mark was responsible for overseeing the management and operations of the SAR Unit based at Valley.

​Mark’s service career saw him gain a wealth of operational and programme management experience and knowledge oriented around the three pillars of operations, training and programme management. In his role as Senior Military Advisor to an aircraft manufacturing company, he uses his understanding of all levels of military capability management and the flying training environment to shape and deliver the programme’s objectives.

Throughout his career, Mark has been responsible for leading a number of multi-$billion aircraft and flying training programmes. His geographical track-record of delivering military flying training programmes spans the UK, Australia and Singapore
